When did grapefruit become so awesome tasting? It has now replaced plums as my favorite fruit.
A lot is changing for me in the food arena lately. I made my first stir fry today. I'm slowly becoming more adventurous in the kitchen. My daily salads are still going strong, and I'm trying a lot of new dressings since I can't see myself eating nothing but Russian dressing day in and day out. Also, I taught myself to like, or, let's say for the moment tolerate carrots.
Does anyone know a place that sells bulk nuts through the mail at a good price? I really like to eat all kinds of nuts, especially almonds and walnuts, but they are sooo expensive here. My parents usually buy them back in PA and send them to me, but that always ends up taking forever, because I have to remind them like 5 times before they remember to actually put the package in the mail.
Seriously, I could buy my almonds by the ton.
On a more nostagic note, through the magic of the internet I managed to locate an IHOP on the MBTA bus route. Next weekend, me, the passport breakfast, swedish style pancakes. It's gonna be awesome.
I've started going to church on Sundays again after being a lapse Catholic for...forever pretty much. I can't help it though. The churches here are so interesting looking what with the gothic architecture and everything. I like to be inside them. City churches are like really ornate underground caverns or something. They're very dark and imposing. They make you feel small. I like that. Really makes you feel like god is up ready to make with the plagues.
I suppose my desire to go is more aesthetic than religious, but it makes my parents happy.
