Polls are addictive

"Reading" is here used as metonymy for consumption of porn in any medium--watching videos, looking at pictures, listening to MP3s, what have you.

I don't read porn all that often, but usually what happens is that I'm reading porn, discover I'm horny, and masturbate until I come while continuing to read. (and for me it really is reading rather than the other alternatives)

I read porn (literally) when I'm masturbating almost always. There are obviously exceptions, but whatever. I do look at a lot of pictures and other sorts of porn throughout the day (like when checking my friends page or whatever) that I may find arousing, but I rarely find myself needing to do anything about. Sometimes during the day, I'll read some porn too, but most of the time I'll scan through it and if it's something that I think I'll enjoy quite a lot, I'll set it aside for my pre-bedtime touching-myself session.

Options 2 and 3 are both fairly likely for me, but 3 maybe slightly more so? On the other hand, I read porn when I'm not masturbating or about to masturbate probably more frequently than either... but you could see that as a special case of 3, with a longer delay.

I read or watch or look (assuming that watching a video is different from looking at stills or art) while masturbating. Sometimes that was the whole point, and I do something else after I climax, and sometimes masturbating was an afterthought and I continue to read, watch or look.

Recalling what I read, watched, or looked at (and sometimes just using my imagination) is the number two method for getting off by a very tiny margin.

"Metonymy" - Handy.

With video, I keep it on the whole time, but start to tune out when I'm finishing. More so now, that I don't stay in the computer chair (ugh) but am across the room.

With text, I tend to let it sink in and carry it with me, then go to myself. Who could truly read *while* getting off? heh. But yeah, for me, with text, there's a clear shift between the activities.
