Synthetic Resin ST10

Apparently there's a new non-latex condom material. I was gonna complain that nobody tells me anything, but information on the web is so sparse on this, that I don't appear to be behind the curve. My main source is Canadian(?) retail site BirthControl.com; skipping a bunch of padding ("individually packaged! Made using modern technology!") here's what they have to say:

Megasex Condoms are made of Synthetic Resin ST10 which, unlike traditional condoms does not rely on an elastic grip to stay on, instead it uses gentle adhesion forming to your body like a second skin.

...

[T]hey are colorless, odorless, and nontoxic.

If used according to the instructions Natural Sensation condoms are as effective as latex condoms in preventing pregnancy. Each condom is quality tested with pressure tests of air. These condoms are some of the most popular in the world, particularly in Latin America, with Europen certification, it lacks only FDA approval to become the most popular condom in the world!

Correcting for spelling and punctuation infellicities, that last bit is presumably attempting to claim that they have been approved for use in Europe (does the EU handle this stuff now, or would it still be up to individual countries?).

They sell three models: Megasex (which appears to be conventional in design, except for the little Elisabethan collar at the base), Unisex Gold ("can be used by either the male or the female partner. When used by the female partner the condom is inserted by penetration."), and Panty Condom Non Latex, thong underwear with a built-in jimmy hat. Prices--at least for the former two--are competitive with Avantis, America's current leading non-rubber rubber.

Intriguing at the very least, right? But Wikipedia doesn't seem to have heard of any of this. Google queries mostly just point back to those three pages. I managed to find what appears to be the Columbian manufacturer's official site. There's an English version link, but it's br0ken. I was, however, able to watch the promotional flash video for Secret Panty( it turns out to be Spanish for "strapless thong") which was more entertaining than illuminating.

So, yeah, I'm still intrigued, but I'm not gonna entrust my health and that of my lovers to a new mail-order product until I have a little more info. Anyone who wants to play guinea pig and report back to me is more than welcome to do so, however.
