Intro and cosplay talk
Hello, Vinland Saga fans. This fandom is just so tiny, it's precious.
I am Toby, I recently became a fan of the series after scarfing down the entirety of the manga over three very sleepless nights, and I'm hoping that since the series is still going on, there's potential for more popularity and activity amongst fans.
I am going to be cosplaying as Canute at a convention this April. The costume is a work in progress, but here is a first draft of the helmet (calling it the first draft because the proportions and details are wrong and I would prefer to just redo the whole thing)
I'd actually love to get some feedback and ideas from the community, mostly with regards to the cosplay competition I plan on entering. I'll just be doing a solo walk-on (because the group I'm going with can't be bullied into cosplaying this year, much less cosplaying as Vikings) which is usually 30-45 seconds of stage time. Rather than just walk around and do some poses (Which, let's be honest, is all helmeted Canute really does, besides act moe and have social anxiety), I'd like to do a little something that's creative or funny, or somehow memorable. So far, ideas have been TechnoViking and... TechnoViking. Since 99% of all convention skits are silly meme dances, that seems like less of a desirable option. Any suggestions? Thoughts, opinions, rabbit stew recipes?
