[Saffron goes along-grudgingly. Although it's good to have her things back in their rightful place in her cabin, a strange, subversive part of her almost wishes the Barge were still in its barren state. It had made it easier for her to keep to herself then, at least, and she had even stopped noticing the cold after a while...
Nevertheless, she pulls some fresh clothes on and drags herself out of her room, heading for the place Elphaba had asked to meet with a neatly-folded shawl in hand. Looking about the room, she thinks she spots the woman she's looking for and makes her way over.]
Special delivery!
[It's a pale attempt at humour, but it's better than nothing. She feels as if she hasn't spoken to another person in days.]
[Saffron hadn't been expecting that when the woman turned around-she's seen a lot of things in her time aboard, but never somebody green. She manages to keep her features neutral.]
At least somebody got something good out of it. You were one of the few of us not naive enough to think people could stoop to that level so quickly.
I don't know. [Saffron gives an uncomfortable little laugh and folds her arms across her chest.] Where I'm from, there's a whole race of cannibals out in the black. I guess I kind of forgot you get people like that in civilised society, too.

Worlds? [It took a lot for her to believe that there had been worlds other than Oz before she came to the Barge, and she'd only believed this in the face of overwhelming evidence. Now the Barge tested her limits even further.] You come from a place where there are ships like the Barge that can travel between worlds?
[Saffron gives a nod and a smirk. It's hard to imagine a time or place where everyone and his mother doesn't have a ship.]
You got it. It's the number one way of getting around. You don't have a ship, you're grounded... [A quirked eyebrow.] Of course, that's only if you're not enterprising enough to borrow one.
[Saffron's quite for the next few moments or so. She's got one eyebrow raised as if she's waiting for the woman to crack and say "Kidding!" When this doesn't happen, she folds her arms across her chest.]
[She simply nodded and turned, heading down the hall in silence and disappearing into her room, though she left the door open. A moment later, she burst out of her room on her broomstick, zipping through the air and cackling madly, all the while being careful to stay low and not hit the ceiling, before circling Saffron once and then hovering in place in front of her.]
[The look on Saffron's face was akin to that of a child at Christmas. She had seen a lot of things in her time but never something like this. Needless to say, she was quite speechless when she found herself with the woman in front of her.]
I... Do you...
[She fell silent for a moment while she gathered herself.]
[Settling down on the ground, she gripped her broom, considering. Though there was little danger of her messing it up, Elphaba was possessive of her broom and didn't really like people messing with it.]
Nevertheless, she pulls some fresh clothes on and drags herself out of her room, heading for the place Elphaba had asked to meet with a neatly-folded shawl in hand. Looking about the room, she thinks she spots the woman she's looking for and makes her way over.]

All that open lack of air outside. Back home it's where the worlds are less frequent and the blood-thirsty reign supreme.

[She cuts off and watches Elphaba for a moment with pursed lips.]
A broomstick? So you can sweep your way through space?

To fly. Right.

Do you mind if I get a look at it?
