It's about time I did an LJ post! too bad I only have like 5 pictures :(
But they are pictures from a wonderful trip! A month ago Justin, Melissa and I went to visit Natalia in Calgary!!!!!
Too much fun.
Let's go back to November 9th. Victoria was still enjoying pleasant mild temperatures..but our flight to Calgary was delayed a couple hours due to SNOW! Anyways, Justin and Melissa try (unsucessfully) to look not-haggard when we finally board the plane
At least we were still alive, unlike the poor guy in the seat in front of us
Anyways, we get there and get a cab that took us the long way to Natalia's because we we're obvious clueless tourists. What the driver heard from the backseat: "So like...is Calgary like...a big city and stuff? OMG it's so flat here! Look at all the little houses with snow on them awwwww" Oh and we gave him Natalia's address but then asked to be taken to the nearest liquor store to that address. Yeah i would have ripped us off too. So we find Natalia's apartment but no liquor stores so we just get out at the apartment and decide to find one on foot...in the snow...at midnight...with our oversized luggage. Half hour later we were back at the apartment frozen and miserable from not finding an open liquor store but SO EXCITED because we were seconds away from seeing Natalia for the first time in months!
So nice to see her again! but we couldn't do much socializing that first night because it was late and Steph (her roommate who you'll meet in a second) was asleep.
Ok her apartment is rather amazing. So modern and beautiful inside and quite spacious and comfortable! And the best location ever! it's in the upscale boutique-y part of town and still within walking distance of the downtown core with the big malls and such.
Woke up the next morning to this view
So we did A LOT of shopping on the trip. Got some good buys. And no sales tax!
We also went to the zoo which was really fun and educational and nice with the snow and all. No pictures though because i'm a tard.
We went out one night to "The Drummin Monkey". It was pretty fun. The best part was the pre-drinking in the apartment though.
By the way we love Natalia's roommate Steph. She is lots of fun.
Here she is with Natalia before hitting up drummin monkey!
Uh oh! Natalia got proper for the second pic. Myes...
LOL @ the paparazzi scrambling for the back of the head shots. pathetic.
Reunited and it feels so good! The hair curl is lovin it!
Things started to get sensual..
ew i feel gross
PS Natalia has a Philipino maid:
Another night we got dressed up and went to a really nice Thai restaurant right by the apartment
Melstin
Nagavia
The Philipino maid fell ill so we had to pack our own shit
Aand unfortunately that brings me to the end of my Calgary pictures which is sad because my pictures sooo do not do the trip justice. Good news is Justin and Melissa have more/better pictures.
On a final note, how great was the snow?
ahhhh... I'm glad it's gone though. But if it came back just in time for Christmas that'd be aightfome.
CHRISTMAS IS COMING AND EVERYONE IS COMING HOME AND IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN!
