So much to update...

This past weekend we went to Martha's Vineyard for a wedding. It was our first time out there this year and Saturday was such a gorgeous day. I still love Martha's Vineyard with all my heart. Saturday morning we went to the beach and it was sunny and the water was warm and there were waves and I wished that I could've spent the whole day there! Then we left and headed up island to Chilmark chocolates (which are delicious!). Then we headed back to the house to get ready. The outdoor shower is one of my most favorite things ever. Then we headed over to the ceremony which was at East Chop lighthouse. It was gorgeous and the reception was lovely as well!

The rest of the weekend was interesting, as is often the case with Betty & George :o) So, Betty & George (and their two sons - one is a year older than me, one is a year younger) used to be our neighbors in NY, then when I was in 10th grade they moved to Martha's Vineyard. They are the people that I lived with for 3 summers and they are characters! For those of you who were at my wedding, George was the one who wore salmon colored pants, a turquoise shirt and an island colors plaid tie. Anyway, it was a lovely weekend, except for the call we got Saturday morning.

Chris's brother Nick was staying at our place for the weekend to watch Chani and Saturday morning he asks us if we let anyone borrow our car? Nope! The car was gone. Chris called the police but they don't take reports over the phone so it had to wait until wee got home on Sunday. We haven't heard anything yet, sadly. I would really like my car back, but I'm not sure that is going to happen. I found out that the '99 Jeep Cherokee is the 5th most popular car to steal in MA. Ours is a '98, so that didn't give me much hope. But I know of 4 cars that were stolen in Charlestown and they all got returned. Sometimes it took a month and sometimes the cars were damaged, but they did turn back up! But will ours...and when?!? I really don't want to buy a new car right now. I mean we knew that we were going to need to for multiple reasons but I hate being forced into it, you know?

Here's a picture of the groom and his family (with my dad in the background)...
