Happenings

The summer is flying by and I've been busy. Let's see a few weekends ago I went down to DC to visit Katie, which was lovely. We went to Kayla's fundraising 80's party which was a lot of fun to dress up for and fun to attend. The following week I drove up to Nikki's house on Thursday night. Barri was there as well (by the way Grace, Barri was in AC during the food network weekend, so it was her you saw!). On Friday we went to the Track which was very fun and then out to dinner at Wheatfield's in Saratoga. It was so nice to hang out with them! Cody, Nikki's son is very cute too.

Last week I worked from home and it went by WAY too fast!! I had scheduled a ridiculous amount of doctor and veterinary appointments that week. It was nice yo be home but it went too fast. I kind of dread going to my project in NJ every week. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's just not fun and I don't want to do a lot of the work and have I mentioned that the internet is distracting? Cause it is...

Saturday Chris and I went down to my parent's house. I had my soon to be SIL's bridal shower. It was nice and weird all at the same time. Weird because I didn't have a bunch of people I knew there. My dad's 3 sisters were there and my cousin's wife, but I hadn't seen any of them in years (which is weird in itself, but they live out on Long Island and it's just so damn far away from Boston, not to mention I travel all the time and I can never bring myself out there to visit). It was also weird because the shower was in my home town so I sorta "knew" some of the people there, but I wasn't really friends with them, you know, a little awkward. I swear I get more socially awkward the older I get. Anyway, the shower was nice and there were no games played or prizes given out - always a plus in my book! Brian and Taryn appreciated my gifts (I had really wanted to get them their kitchenaid mixer but Taryn's mom swiped it off the registry a mere 2 hours before I showed up at Macy's to buy it in person, so I got them luggage instead).

Chris and Chani are coming down to NJ this weekend - It'll be nice to not have to travel for a weekend. We're planning on going to see Grace and Stephen for a little bit, which should be lovely!

I'm REALLY excited about "The Town" which is coming out in a few weeks. The "town" is Charlestown, my hood! Last summer they did a ton of filming all over my town and I can't wait to see everything - I'm really excited about seeing it!
