So my immediate supervisor on this project has some sayings that drive me up the wall! He uses the word "import" as in "if it's of a certain level of import, then you need to raise it to management". I'm pretty certain that import does not equal importance, right?
But the thing that makes me want to scream every time I hear it (and he lectures often, and EVERY single time we have a meeting he uses this phrase) is "in respect to" and in my head I scream "with respect, WITH respect"!! Am I right? In respect just doesn't make sense. It's 'with respect to' or 'in reference to', right?
