So totally taking the day off work tomorrow. I just can't kick this cold. Although, to be fair, it's not like I'm ever sick for less than a week, anyway, and tomorrow will be one week. It seems like I get a little better with an evening's rest, but then go to work the next day and take two steps back. Mike said I could have the day off so long as I come in at 7:45 for a quick meeting and no one else decides to take off at the last minute. Don't know what the meeting's about, but it probably has something to do with the drug tests and/or our increasing surveillance.
I'm at a standstill in Twilight Princess. I beat the first temple, which was cool I guess, but ... I dunno. I keep telling myself that I just need to go easier on the game, but I can't shake the feeling of not liking it that much. It doesn't feel like there's anything new or fresh about the world. In fact, the first temple was called the Forest Temple, which is fine I guess, but ... well, argh. I've since read a lot of reader reviews and have been comforted to find out that I'm not the only one who sees problems with the game. It just astounds me that simply because it's Zelda, it's taken for granted that it has to be flawless and is OMG TEH BEST GAME EVAR. The Hyrule of Ocarina felt like a WORLD; here the "world" just feels linear and empty. It's too much like a Final Fantasy game for my taste. In fact, yeah, that's the perfect way to describe it. It's a beautiful, glittering world ... on rails.
Furthermore, my crafting projects are at a standstill. Being sick has made me not want to do anything, so you'll all (and by "all" I mean three of you) have to wait for your bracelets.
Oh, and I found out, thanks to Armory, that Nexus basically disbanded. That's probably what Eienne wanted to talk to me about. Ah well. (Can you tell I haven't played in a while? Heh.)
Oh, and we also got Foxy's test results back and apparently he didn't respond to the pill at all, so we've got to start giving him insulin shots. No idea how in the hell I'm going to manage that when Chip leaves next week, but it's either I figure out a way to get over it or Foxy dies. Guess I'll get over it, huh?
Night!
