Wisconsin

So last weekend we went to Wisconsin for a friends' wedding. Chris and I left Friday night around 9:30pm and got to Ashlad around 5am. The drive was pretty nice and Riley was good in the car except for when Chris started freaking out because the GPS put us on these crazy back country roads. (We're talking some stuff straight out of Wrong Turn or The Hills Have Eyes stuff). It was really nice because our hotel was right on Lake Superior. Seriously our hotel was maybe 20 ft from the shore and we could see the lake from our window.

After a quick nap, Chris and I got up and dressed for the wedding. We both looked pretty nice even though Chris forgot his dress shoes and had to wear his work boots. Mike and Lucy's wedding was beautiful and so darn coutry it was adorable. I mean all the groomsmen and Mike reversed their vests for the the reception so it was like camoflauge. I have to say it was one of the most interesting weddings I've ever been to. They played everything from polka to country to rap. And Mike and Lucy gave each other a lap dance to Flo Rida's "Low" during which Mike somehow ended up half naked without a shirt on.

All in all our trip to Wisconsin was really fun. Our first morning there I saw a bald eagle fly by the hotel and when we went to go check on Riley inbetween dinner and dance for the wedding we saw a bald eagle eating a fish on the shore. It was funny cause just as we were driving back to the hotel I said I wanna see another eagle before we leave Wisconsin and then 2 minutes later we saw it on the shore. On the way home we swung by the old place where Chris' grandparents used to live and even stopped by and picked up some Wisconsin cheese (Which is FRIGGIN DELICOUS by the way).

And its funny how it’s the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There’s no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I’ve come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise you glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried

Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio on
Well I’ve seen the sunrise
See the love in my woman’s eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother’s love
