Panduit
So on Thursday Panduit did another round of layoffs. Our department which is already small as it is lost 3 more people. We lost our packaging person Krisse, one of our Tool & Die guys Don, and an operator Angelo. Now Angelo I wasn't too surpised about because he's been gone on some sort of leave since January and he was only back for like 2 days before he got laid off. It stinks for him but to be honest he had a big tendency to slack off at work and since the smoking ban went in place for the new year it was common knowledge that he was sneaking around smoking he just hadn't been caught. But Don had been working for Panduit for over 30 years. Though I am hearing that they might just move Don to Burr Ridge I'm not sure about that though. Krisse though... She's my girl. She was in charge of making all of the boxes and bags for all of the orders and helped out in the ID Center. The first day she was gone was a nightmare because none of the orders were ready. But that's only what they deserve because Krisse was a great worker and a important part of our department. People wonder why I don't like my job. Its because in addition to stupid stuff like the 5 page letter the CEO sent every employee before the election about why we SHOULDN'T vote for Obama. (Jackass) A lot of their supervisors have no sense of business ethics and lying to cover your own ass is encouraged.
Crazy Rock
So Saturday I had a new experience. I went to my first strip club. There is one like 5 minutes from our house and we just went to that one. We picked up Marcus after bowling. Chris has been meaning to take him for a while cause he's been having a ton of issues and just decided to separate from Diane and just wanted to give him time to hang out and relax. Hope came with us as well. It was kind of interesting. Not bad. I thought t was hilarious that when the dancer that Marcus liked came over and sat with us for a wihle she scooted closer to Marcus when she found out I was Chris' wife. LOL. Not to mention she asked my permission before she gave Chris a dollar dance, both times. Chris enjoyed himself but I think was a bit nervous with me and Hope being there. I did think it was kind of cute that one of the strippers reminded me so much of
karmahappens that it was kind of ridiculous. Even Chris agreed with me, she even danced a little like you Meag.
One thing I was really upset about was that they had $2 peppermint shots. We had a round when we first came in and it was okay, went down pretty smooth. But after we had been there for a while we ordered another round and SERIOUSLY the shot was WATER. It tasted like they had rinsed out the peppermint schnapps bottle with water and then poured the shots.
