Draelos

Most of you know that I put the kabosh on Vinchino (the Italian mobster who has been in league with the ever joyful Sprinkles McWibbler...apparently. oh, old jokes.), but I have now created a new journal for a new age. I haven't posted in it yet and it might be a little bit before I do, but in case you were interested in adding to your friend's list, it's just "Draelos". Old persona, old name that I came up with when given the option to name Link the first time I played The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time when I had my first memory card, and the name actually meant something. Of course, it was originally Dralos, which I pronounced the same way, until someone pointed out that to be pronounced the way I wanted I had to add an "e" after the "a", thus introducing me to the "ae" diphthong which I and my characters have had a crazy love affair with.

In case any of you were ever as interested as myself as to why people name their journals and other accounts the way that they do. Maybe I'm just being a nerd, but hey, it's the only card I know how to play. But I digress.

I know it's an old name, and that kind of contradicts the spirit of moving forward that was the whole purpose behind changing journals, but I'm no Progressive. That was the lamest age in American History, unless you count the LBJ years, which one could argue had been beget by the Progressive era, but eh. No use crying over what some old fogies did wrong, not when there's work to do fixing it.

I'm in school for History, by the way. I've decided to go into teaching, despite what certain old acquaintances have said. But you do what you do best, and nerding out about Ye Olde Stories.
