WOW! It sure has been a long time since I even thought about this web page.
When I got here I felt enlightened to write something clever. then I couldn't remember my password, and got distracted, went downstairs to get a slice of cold pizza and a cup white chocolate and raspberry yogurt, then came back to see what password was e-mailed to me, and completely forgot why I even came here. How's that for a run on sentence?
Well, the end of winter break is approaching and I am nervous for the upcoming semester. I need to order my books online to save money, and haven't done that yet. SEARS Rockaway has pretty much taken up all of my time, which isn't a bad thing, because I need money. I worked about 50 hours a week with two days off a week. It was fun while it lasted. I have two more 10 hour days there. I am really going to miss my team members! And especially my managers. All of the people who have come into my life at Sears are truley amazing. Dawn, Barbra, Edith, Elsa, Roxanna, Gabby, Sarah, Maria, Doles, Joyce, Mary Angel, Danny, Desmond, Randy, Karen, Sivah, Roy, Shrin, Dan, Linda, Emily, Jayson, Laura, Dora, Cookie, Harry, Ruth, Xiamara, Raxa, Elba, Elba, Nelly and the INFAMOUS MISS SALLY, just to name a few. Each and everyone has contributed something to my life! Everyone is truly amazing in their own way. I am going to miss all of them! And I am really looking forward to working on my spring breaks! And possibly an internship at corporate this summer.
I will never forget the word "Sizing". Oh jeez, will that bring back memories for me! I don't think I will ever size that many garments again in my LIFE! 12 rolling racks filled with clearance jeans sized from 0-7, 9-11, and 13+. Petites, Mrs.: Small, Medium, Large, Extra-Large, Women’s: 1x, 2x, 3x! I learned more about women’s apparel than I ever wanted to know! Quads, 4-armers, T-Stands, 8-Tracks, Snicks, Cash Wrap, Go up the escalator- Straight and to the Right. hah! All things you will understand if you work, or have worked in the softer side of SEARS.
"Attention Sears customers. The time is now 9:30PM Sears at Rockaway's closing time. Well that's my tribute to Sears; the nations third largest broad line retailer, behind only Wal*Mart and the Home Depot.
Fun fact, a mere year after Slovakia became a democracy K*mart (sister company of Sears) moved into Slovakia and advertised interchangeable color faceplates for electronic can openers. Slovakia doesn't use canned foods. They jar all of their foods! (Source, Julianna Acheson; Phd.)

Well, my parents want to move soon, but they can't until I have graduated, so they say. They want to move into something smaller, preferably two bedrooms. My mom mentioned Chatham, NJ as a possible destination. I for one am in great favor of Chatham, one of the nations top ten best places to live. I tried convincing my Dad that it was a good idea. At first he was put off, at the sheer expense it is to live in Chatham, but it is well worth it. I think I softened him up on it though. I would love to live in Chatham, Madison, Short Hills... haha I love those towns! However, my true destination is still Montvale, Woodcliff Lake, or Alpine, NJ. Those towns are amazing.
NJ thought: I am going to miss going to great sushi bars for lunch and stopping at starbucks on my way home from work... Asian Markets, and Ethiopian food. most of all: Salmon Roe aka caviar wrapped with nori. and Believe me, it's nothing like cannery Rowe.
Anyway, I'm in the middle of watching the movie, "Holy Smoke" So I better get back to that!
Leave me comments if you will and remember,
you can live the good life at a great price every day; at Sears!
