(no subject)
Today, we looked at the preschool that Sarah is likely going to be attending in the fall. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but looking at schools makes me feel old.
Also, we went to the beach, and when I saw a sign that said "Do no go past this point, danger of slipping and/or drowning", I thought "Clearly, I should walk as far as is possible past this sign!"
I was hoping I'd get some kickass pictures, but it was mostly just sharp rocks and dead crabs. I did have a fun adventure when I realized the tide was coming in and walking back the way I came wasn't going to work too well. Instead, I had to climb up the nearby rocks onto the hill that led up to the highway, and then walk on the side of the road back to the main beach park.
Also, because I'm an idiot, I did not have any shoes on. I'm amazed I somehow avoided stepping in any broken glass.
However, it was a good time, and I look forward to doing more stupid things, and hopefully getting better pictures next time.
I was thinking about swimming out to this beautiful island near one of the local beaches, but had to can those plans when I discovered the area is apparently known for tiger shark attacks :(
