Everything I need to do for Christmas is done.

My next driving lesson is on Friday at 10:00am.

I got a reply by email about the job I applied for. The recruiter had not previously replied because she was on holiday and today is her first day back in the office. I am being considered and if my CV is good enough then they will arrange an onsite

Well, the job search is not going amazingly well but at least I am applying for things now, and that is making me feel a little better on the matter. I did apply for the TfL graduate scheme, but they didn't want me. So Thursday was driving lesson number three. The main part of the lesson was starting manoeuvres. My instructor is a very good guy at throwing in at you deep end (and personally I am finding that it is a technique that is working as you don't have any time to worry about doing things). I had my second driving lesson yesterday and it was much more interesting that the first and a more involved than the first was too. Lots of up hill and down hill starts, traffic lights are everywhere here. Down hill starts aren't really a problem, neither are flat ones, but finding the biting point on the clutch for up hill starts I'm not finding ( Read more... )
