I found an interesting game to play- Farland Story "7" for the PC Engine. I saw NTG playing Farland Story 2, so I thought I'd try out a slightly more recent title (which isn't much more recent, but what the heck).
Anyway, its a great game (don't I say that often?). At first glances it looks like something made from SRPG Maker 95 but with slightly better textures and much better character portraits. However the battle animations are awesomely done, with comical expressions for every character when they get hit, knocked out and etc. Unlike most SRPGs, I've yet to get bored with the animations XD (plus they move at a good rate so you don't feel like its slowing the game)
The only bad things are the slightly repetitive music and lack of any real challenge (some stages are a bit hard, but the rest are a breeze. I'm already on Stage 30 or something and I've only played for a day and a half), but it doesn't spoil the game that much. I might even try numbers "1" to "6" later ^^
