To address tonight
One thing about tonight's show really pissed me off. Asking where the girls in the room are, and then saying 99% of them are bitches is uncalled for. I've always liked Hatebreed and probably always will, but that was the dumbest thing i've ever heard come out of his mouth. The hardcore scene is already primarily dominated by males, and for the girls that are not in it for the boys that was totally disrespectful. When you start stereotyping people based on gender you are no better than the everyday racist. If you can't be friends or accept people for any reason better than that you're not worth my time. I live with one of the most OG girls in the scene who's probably more about the music than most guys I know. It makes me sad to think that if I was a girl with the same mentality I wouldn't get an ounce of respect because of my gender. It should be one family and if it burns inside of you the way it burns inside of me I don't think if you have boobs it should make any difference. Aside from that it was fun despite the lack of attendance. Converge on saturday, so maybe I'll be able to get back in a good mood there. Hope to see some of you there. Peace!
