I want my music to make you weep, I dont want it to make you happy, I dont want it to put a smile upon your face, I want it to make you weep, I want tears to form when you hear each note, each bar played should move you to tears. to make someone smile is an elementary task, to make someone weep is arduous.
what I dont want, is music that you want to hear for hours on end because it makes you laugh or the beat is "nice", I dont want you to listen to it because you think its something everyone else is listening to. there was once a time when people knew what it ment to be in a band, it was passion, and respect for the art. not something that went out of style every few weeks.
