Man, I am such a nerd. While watching Episode V of Star Wars, I found myself tearing up a bit at the part where the Rebels are gearing up to defend Echo Base so the transport ships can evacuate as many people and supplies as possible. When the loud speaker said, "The first carrier is away." and all the pilots start to cheer, my eyes began to water a bit. As you watch this scene of the movie, you notice that all of the Rebel soldiers know that they don't have much of a chance to completely repel the Empire's attack. They're just trying to buy enough time to get as many people to safety. When those pilots cheered, they know that their comrades got to safety and were going to be okay.

Damn, I love those movies.
