Hey there, how is it going ? I know I haven't posted anything for a while now. I got terribly busy over the last 6 months working on a personal project. I won't tell you what the project is (hehe), but it definitely took away all my free time. The project isn't complete yet, but I have made some progress that gives me time to chill out a bit and dust my blog. It will take a while before I get back to the irrationality and depleted sense of humour that characterized my previous posts. Until then, swalpa adjust maadi. By the way, thanks to all those who nudged me on various occasions to check why I wasn't writing anymore. I didn't know this world had so many jobless people willing to spend their precious time on as worthless a thing as this blog. There is one guy though called
pramodbiligiri who felt the quality of content on the Internet had improved drastically ever since I stopped blogging. Well
pramodbiligiri , I am back and am sorry if this development disappoints you.
OK, I have written a lot for a "come back" post. I shall close this post with an observation about my friends circle. I have realized that I have an extraordinarily geeky set of friends. I can't believe we are such compulsive geeks. I am not sure how this happened. It's not as if our moms read us
Knuth to put us to sleep or anything. No matter how hard we try, we find it hard to talk about anything other than math, computer science, economics, politics, technology and programming. For instance, yesterday,
hyperbrain , Ashwini,
pramodbiligiri and I had dinner at a chinese restaurant in Koramangala. Would you believe that we spent 3 hours in that restaurant discussing TDMA, FDMA, CDMA and the intricacies of writing code for cellular phones ? All this after we had decided to keep our conversations light, generic and non-geeky that evening. Yes, it's THAT bad.
Obviously, this is partly due to the fact that most of my friends are either engineers or engineers turned MBAs. I am curious to know what kind of conversations would two doctors or lawyers or accountants or artists of my age group typically have with each other. I seriously wish I had such people in my social network. (So if you are one of those (and single and female and about 25 years of age..hehe..how shameless! ) let me know. Would love to hang out in such groups too!)
