Including FOSS in election manifestoes
India is set to have general elections for its national parliament in the next 2 months. In this context some of us (in the FOSS community in India) are running a campaign to have support for FOSS included in the election manifestos( a document which details out what the parties will deliver if voted to power) of various political parties.
We have created a petition for the campaign - http://www.public-software.in/FOSS-manifesto
The idea is to collect as many signatures as possible and then submit the petition along with the list of signatories to various political parties.
