This is going to sound very lame and third-grade but, um, I made a friend today.
LOL.
Opening yourself up to people is scary when it's something you've conditioned yourself to not do. But she's nice, and I can see how we get along. I generally need friends who are a lot less shy and a lot more talkative, and she's definitely that. So... yeah.
I never noticed that I've had the same friends for a long time (not counting you online buddies, of course). I've never thought anything of it. Wherever I go, I'm usually only interested in getting stuff done and getting out of there. I'm not rude or standoffish by any means, but I don't go out of my way to get to know people, that's for sure. I really should give people a chance, because you never know. I might need a kidney someday and that nice person I met at Old Navy could have the perfect one.

I could just drug 'em and take the organs myself.

I really don't care too much for Myspace, but I think I'm gonna fix mine up a bit. Make it pretty and whatnot. Maybe I'll be more interested in it if I personalize my profile. I just don't see what the big deal is.
Then again, I didn't see what the big deal was about LiveJournal for a long time.
Maybe I'll start using these LiveJournal tags too! NIFTY!
