I am summering it up, yay. I have been talking to some people online from school and there summer are going good, no one is complaining so far except the usual, "I wish I was still in school so I can hang out with you guys."

I had to do a game yesterday that challenged 5 rules. I had to stop the baseball game 5 times because the coaches argued, 2 for one team and three for the other, so it was even...lol. I explained the rules, all 5 of them to the coaches, and they sat down quickly. I was glad because it made me look good, real good. The parents were upset alittle, but hey, they always get upset cause there kid is getting "cheated."  I really have come to not even talk to the parents until the game is over, then, when it is over, if they have any questions for me, I then answer them as I do the coaches in the game.
The parents just know the basic rule of baseball, they don't know rule that are not done every game because the situation does not occur. The parents yell, and then they eventually get over it once the coach tells them to be quite cause it was the right call. I love when the moms and dads try to help the team out by lying, for example: The kid yesterday threw a pitch and it was coming for the boy legs and it hit the ground and bounced back. I called a ball and one of the dads yell that he had gotten hit. I did not see him get hit, so I said it was a ball, not a walk. The dad was tell the kid to say he got hit, the kid, out of innocence, told the dad he did not get hit. I love when kids are innocent...it makes me look better.
An other example was a kid was running home and the catcher tried to tag him on the butt as he was running by. I did not see him touch the kid, so I called safe, for he did not tag the kid. The parents went bolistic and crazy. As an umpire, my job is to get eh est possible angle on a play and make a call in which I witnessed. I got an angle and made a call in which I thought was right. After the next out the inning was over and I walked off the field, and this time I walk towards the bench of the catcher. The coach asked the boy if he had touched the kid running by, and the boy responded no. When I heard that I was happy, cause I had made the right call after all. The coach looked at me and walked over to me and said, "You are doing a fine job Blue. My boy said he did not touch the runner, just keep on umping like you are doing and don't listen to the fans." I replied, "I know, that is what I am doing. I was going to stand by my call anyways."

57 Days until I come back to Baton Rouge...yay
