Just got back from my proper job interview for a proper job at the local council.
The actual interview seemed to go okay, I rabbited on about teamwork and all that sort of thing, they seemed to write alot down, which is always a good sign. No pregnant pauses or anything. Unfortunately I had to do an input test. Seemed to be going okay, nothing too hard, a few long numbers but nothing you can't handle with the numeric keypad.
However, as I stood up to print the thing out.... I noticed an error. I pointed it out to the girl and asked if I could just alter it. She said my time was up, which I thought was a little unfair seeing as I had spotted it - it would have been different if I hadn't.
So basically I'm worried about the input part. The boss kept on about how important attention to detail and accuracy were, which makes me even more anxious.
I'll be getting less than I do on the dole, but at least I'm working and making my own money, that's the important thing. I can then hold my head up.
Fingers crossed then. I'll find out Monday or Tuesday.
