WEATHER NOTE
one of the things that those west coast
people never understood, was the validity
of having a conversation about the weather.
in california, it is a joke, if someone
says they talked about the weather, as
though, saying that they didn't really talk.
this is not the case in chicago. one of
the reasons i love winter is because of all
the random interactions i have with people
due to the weather. with dramatic weather,
like we have here, talking about it is
serious business, it is a very valid topic.
it is an experience that we, as humans,
share together. today i had three different
brief, but very pleasant, interactions with
people about the snowy windy cold weather.
strangers sharing common elements.
(plus, i'm just a big geek, cause weather
is very interesting to me...)
