On the further saga of Evil Dell 2.4
So it turns out my school has this spiffy thing that will back-up your files but only the ones it deems 'important' and then you can restore them later if the school needs to wipe your computer.
...It chose my ENTIRE 'my documents' file as 'important'. So...It got through the sims, my pictures, my music and like 1 video before the internet flickered and it errored out.
But still. NONE of my documents. (They're all on flashdrives anyway.) I was so amused. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Tomorrow I will write my paper fastfast and then take the computer to Unit. I think they learned their lesson with me last year, and seriously guys. This is my FOURTH major problem in just over a year. On a new computer. And it's not like I abuse this thing. I'm very kind to my technology.
Thems That Know say the graphics card is part of the motherboard which is separate from the hard drive which has the data on it. I know these things. ...I just hope they fix it correctly.
