Okay, I have always liked Nephry. From the moment she came up in-game she was cool...though I admit that, initially, it was more as an additive to Jade's coolness, because I caught the JADE!!!! bug from Griff. Then one day someone said to me HEY THERE IS ROOM IN OUR TALES AIM RP IF YOU WANNA BE NEPHRY and I was scared out of my mind of doing it wrong, and of all of you. Particularly the wiseass who was playing Jade so well. :P But that's how it started.

She knows how to handle things. It's a big change to have someone who doesn't walk around getting infuriated or have some hugely traumatic past that makes them emo a lot. And she uses her experience and her intelligence to get where she wants to go while being nice about it. It's so refreshing to play. (And she has that damn Balfour stubborn streak, too. She's just usually smiling when it happens.)

She had like eighteen whole lines. Even with a couple manga and the anime to work with, there's not a whole heck of a lot of characterization in there. I can only hope I'm doing well without going to the overboard lengths I ended up with in ToAIM, because really. There isn't much there to start with.
❥ how easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
Most of the time she's difficult because of her silence. She doesn't mind chilling around and observing things, and she's...well, so much older than most characters that making her too childish could be an issue. So I let her listen. Some days, though, it's all I can do to shut her up.

This one time she was having a conversation with Frings, back in the AIM days. And it was something about how she couldn't join up into a war that she didn't agree with, couldn't condone by her actions what she refused in her heart. I don't have that conversation anymore but that was it, I think.
❥ my plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
She's making Luceti friends! Really! I can even list them by name, which is a little scary because I've never seen Nephry as a hugely social creature. And we have a Peony now, I hope to get into shenanigans with that, somehow. ...It may require a death and a very particular penalty. But I hope not. So anyway I hope she just gets more comfortable being there.
