Maybe I'm just not as critical as you, but I didn't have a problem with the ending at all. I thought throughout you did a good job highlighting the less than fairy tale evolution of their relationship.

I completely buy it would happen like that way and that Freddie would want something closer to "how it is supposed to be".

Oh, and I really liked the lyricality of this line: "He's just never been good at telling her no, and she's just never been good at letting anything go."
