Kitties and Stuff
Vet called me Wednesday to give me the lab results. Apparently she has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease.
The vet sent me out some information on it and told me the best course of action right now was just to finish the course of antibiotics, change her food, and keep her litter box EXCEPTIONALLY clean. So instead of the regular cleaning and changing of the litter, I also have to regularly wash/sanitize the litter box. I'm also wondering if I should change her litter, though that thought didn't occur to me until just now so I didn't ask about it. Maybe I'll ask when I take her back in a few weeks for a check up. I think I have Tidy Cat right now.
Regarding her food, the vet DID say that Friskies was acceptable if I absolutely CAN' T afford the Purina or Iams, but that it only comes in little cans so would probably be more expensive in the long run. This may be true under ordinary circumstances, but Sam's carries big boxes of canned cat food, and I think Friskies may be one of those brands. Nothing so high end as purina or iams, but there just may be some Friskies.
Otherwise, Siliga is doing just fine. She's a LOT more active than ANY cat I've ever had that was recovering from surgery. She constantly wants cuddles or playtime. Since I refuse to really play with her, because I don't want her getting all worked up and jumping around, it's been all cuddles. She really just wants to be under blankets at all times, but doesn't like to be under a blanket without me. I spent like 5 hours reading on the couch today and she slept under my knees the entire time.

So, we asked Anna to stay with us for a while so she could help us out, right? She came over for Christmas, and never left. However, she's given us $20 the whole time she's been here. It's been nearly a MONTH, and she's supposed to be giving us $50 a week. I haven't the slightest clue where all her money is going. She works 42 hours a week and makes like $7.50 an hour. The only bill she has is her cell phone, which isn't even on because she didn't have the money. She's not spending it on gas because she keeps borrowing gas money from her friends. The only thing I can think is it's all going to cigarettes, weed, and Vicodin. Josh and I were talking a few minutes ago, trying to figure out how we're going to pay the gas bill.The paycheck I got today is almost exclusively going towards my CNA course, because the next payment comes out on Monday. Then the electric is due next Friday, and the gas on Monday. I can afford the electric, but there's no time for the gas bill. I did get asked to work tomorrow, which gives me an extra day on next weeks check. Here's hoping.
Even though Anna's next check won't come in time because she gets paid bi-weekly, I told Josh either make her pay him something when she gets paid again, or make her leave. We already have one mooch living off of us, we don't need her too. At least Ben SEEMS to be making a little bit of effort to find a job now, so I'm not so resentful of him for now. He can live with us for free as long as it takes for him to find a job, I don't mind. What bothered me was that he wasn't even TRYING. But Anna? The whole REASON she's here was to help us out, and she's not doing it! WTF?
