Preserved for posterity sake.

Since I did all that work Hurricane Proofing the house, I figured I would share my handy work.

We start with with the standard plywood over the kids' bedroom windows

Unfortunately, we had very little plywood...so, what better use for those pickets I bought for the fence I never got around to fixing than to protect the bathroom window from large flying objects (scrap piece of tarp was to limit the driving rain in case of breakage).

After running out of our wood supply, I switched from protection mode, to preservation mode. Tarps were hung to keep the elements out in the incident of a window breach.

But...we only had so much tarp to go around, and more windows to cover...what to do, what to do indeed?

Yes, that is indeed one of those inflatable pools that were all the rage last summer. I think I qualify for my very own trailer...perhaps even (dare I say) a double-wide.
Yeehaw.

It is a good thing I am always right, and the hurricane passed us by, otherwise we might have been really screwed. Oh well, the world will never know.

In case you haven't guessed it, yup...they're all still up. I think I might just let it be until the end of hurricane season. Neh...end of next season.
