So last week I was running to catch the bus - i always miss the bus - so I hauled ass and caught the bus.
I got home and was kinda like - hmm, my foot hurts and I limped around all night. Before I went to sleep I took a look and there it was a weird big ugly black and dark red bruise on the sole of my foot.
So long story short - you can get a serious infection from a bruise and if you don't catch it in time it goes into your bloodstream. Super scary - potentially deadly.
So, even if the really cute "I can't believe I found these shoes pointy black flat shoes at Zellers" look great, the weird angular rubber heel could possibly kill you. And there will always be another bus.
(the worst part was when I was limping at school and this guy Brian tells me about a co-worker of his who did something similar (minus the point shoes) and the infection ended up costing him his leg - thanks brian - I was completly paranoid all week)
