drinking some egyptian licorice tea and listening to a cd about the progression of disease according to ayurveda.
Spent some time today on the "impaired memory unit" at Sunbridge Nursing Home visiting my great grandmother who is a resilient lady. i find people with alzheimer's to be fascinating, sad, amazing and a lot of other words. one woman just kept saying, "what did i do wrong? somebody help me!" Another woman was lovingly caressing a baby doll, saying things to the baby like "Coochie Coo..do you want to go take a nap?" and one of the few male residents refused to pick up his feet when the aide was trying to wheel him back to his room. it seemed to give him great pleasure to feel his feet on the ground. i remember doing that when i was little, dragging my feet when i was being pushed in a carriage.
Then there was the woman across from my g-grandma who just said "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO..."
bye.
