"Dirty, pitiful thief," Lucius said, the words nasty despite the almost affectionate tone.
She pleaded with her eyes, looking up at the man who smirked in response.
He would let her go, for now, collecting his payment from her in time. He released her bonds and she collapsed on the floor. All she would know was that his change of heart had been sudden.
