 50 Sentences Challenge

AN: I haven't found this pairing anywhere else so I decided to make my own. the chances of people actually reading this is low but I had to get it out there.

50 Sentences

1. Comfort - Elliot’s knuckles had gone white in the back of Ryan’s lab coat and the only thing he could do was cling back.

2. Kiss - The lab was empty, Elliot’s hands fisted in Ryan’s white jacket as he pushed the smaller man back against his own forensic instruments, their mouths pulled together like gravity.

3. Soft - “You going soft on me Detective?” Elliot’s answer was a growl as he surged forward against his laughing lover.

4. Pain - Elliot’s first excuse had been because of their work and Ryan had been expecting that, but it made is chest ache at the thought of never being with the man again.

5. Potatoes - Elliot threw Ryan’s limp body over his shoulder, his heart racing and knives of fear in his chest as he ran for the exit of the collapsing building.

6. Rain - A curse slipped past his lips when his fingers slipped for what seemed like the hundredth time on the sopping piece of evidence, and he blinked in confusion when the sudden downpour stopped and he looked up to see Elliot, cheeks flushed, holding an umbrella.

7. Chocolate - Elliot found that the bitterness of dark chocolate complimented perfectly with the sweet taste of Ryan’s skin.

8. Happiness - Whoever thought that perfection would be five kids and a stoic cop with anger management problems was crazy, but Ryan had never claimed to be completely sane.

9. Telephone - He would never admit it to anyone, but there were times when his phone would ring and his heart would stop, just for a moment, before he could pick up, afraid that this call would be the one.

10. Ears - It always started with just a breath that turned into lips, a tongue around the shell, teeth pulling at the lobe and a hot mouth that had Ryan coming completely undone.

11. Sensual - “I’ll show you sensual,” Elliot then proceeded to demonstrate just how well he knew the meaning of the word, and Ryan decided he needed to question his lover’s grasp of the English language more often.

12. Name - It had been a challenge, “Are you sure you’re Irish?” and of course Ryan had to stand up for his name, had to show Elliot that he wasn’t afraid to honor his colorful heritage.

13. Death - Ryan knew things had gone badly when Elliot crawled into bed without a word after a case, curling around Ryan’s familiar warmth and burying himself away from the loss and disappointment of the city.

14. Sex - The shift and pull of muscle under his hands, small sounds of pleasure that he was pulling from his lover, the trust and devotion from the man that had become so much more, and still he could hardly believe it.

15. Touch - Limited contact while on the job had been one of Elliot’s conditions, but Ryan found it hard to keep the smug look off his face every time the detective brushed against him without even realizing he’d done it.

16. Weakness - In the beginning Elliot had seen his feelings as a failing, a chink in his otherwise untarnished armor that ironically became the catalyst for what drew them together, a similar imperfection that became something as close to perfect as they could get.

17. Tears - Uncaring of the eyes on them and the damp tracks on his own face Elliot brought Ryan’s hand to his mouth, lips touching cool skin with the beep of the heart monitor providing unwavering proof of life.

18. Speed - Sometimes, being with Elliot was like being chained to a comet, like taking a hit and never really knowing when you were going to come back down, like living.

19. Wind - Elliot watched Ryan’s hair move in the breeze, his unzipped CSU coat snapping out behind him like some kind of demented hero’s cape, and in that moment Elliot was struck dumb by the thought that he was beautiful.

20. Freedom - His escape was so close, he’d gathered his clothes and was halfway to pushing the whole experience down into the dark part his mind when a hand caught his wrist, “Don’t over think this, lab monkey, get back in the bed.”

21. Life - “Dad, Kathleen’s pregnant!” Elliot’s head jerked up from the stove and Ryan couldn’t hold in his laughter at the horrified look on the other man’s face as he explained the game of Life.

22. Jealousy - Every time Kathy came with the kids on a visit Ryan couldn’t help the rise of his metaphorical hackles, and every time, Elliot would slide a hand over the small of his back in a gesture that had become their equivalent of I love you in public.

23. Hands - Of course Elliot would never admit it but he loved watching Ryan work in the lab, fingers moving deftly over the smallest pieces of evidence, flying across the computer’s keyboard and adding distracting thoughts to his mind when he thought of those hands moving across his skin.

24. Taste - Elliot tasted like Elliot, a mixture of toothpaste, coffee and gunpowder that Ryan found himself getting addicted to all over again every time they found a spare moment for quick kisses.

25. Devotion - The job came first and they both knew it, but they also knew that they had time now, time for each other even if it was just stolen moments and indecipherable glances across a crowded space.

26. Forever - DNA matches always took an ungodly amount of time to complete themselves, and on rare occasions when the lab was empty Ryan took the opportunity to make up some inane reason for Elliot to come down into his domain and pass time.

27. Blood - Ryan’s first introduction to Elliot’s children had been one of the singular most nerve wracking moments in his life, but he knew that it meant a lot to his lover for his kids, his family, to accept them.

28. Sickness - Ryan had been on scene when they apprehended their suspect, Elliot cuffing the man as he all but foamed at the mouth while spouting how he’d cleansed the Earth of a disease by killing his homosexual victims, and he was completely unaware when Ryan’s fist caught him in the jaw; Elliot felt himself glow with a strange kind of pride.

29. Melody - The one thing Ryan could do better than Elliot was sing, and every time one of the twins had a nightmare Ryan would be called upon for his lullabies while Elliot stood in the doorway and let himself drift on whatever song had been chosen that night.

30. Star - Living in New York didn’t offer much of a chance to go stargazing, so when Ryan mentioned a small place in Jersey that his uncle owned the kids (Elliot included) decided it was time for a Christmas vacation, and getting away from the smog and prying eyes would allow them a small chance to relax.

31. Home - The annual NYPD/FDNY softball game had come around again and Ryan was now an official player, getting on base and waiting for Elliot to come up to bat and hit him home.

32. Confusion - The look on Cragen’s face would have been laughable in any other situation, but considering that both his and Ryan’s careers were on the line the room took on a stillness born of bewilderment.

33. Fear - Elliot thought he knew fear, but he realized he didn’t even know the meaning of the word until they found Dickie crying on the edge of the highway, their kidnappers in the wind and Ryan still missing.

34. Thunder/Lightning - It never failed that during a thunderstorm some child would come and interrupt their sleep, but Ryan had gotten so used to it that he found himself sitting up and waiting for someone to come in before he could actually fall asleep.

35. Bonds - In the rare moments when a case had gone wrong in every imaginable way Elliot knew he could come home and give up his control, silk wrapped carefully around his eyes and wrists while Ryan took charge.

36. Market - Kathy had found out quite by accident that her husband was off the market, but when she thought about it, and she tried not to, there were worse things she could have walked in on then her ex-husband sleeping wrapped around another man.

37. Technology - Being a forensic technician relied on being up to date with current technology, and Ryan loved that aspect of his job, the fact that he was actually smarter than Elliot in that department was just a perk.

38. Gift - Elliot had never really been big on physical representations of affection, but every time Ryan got him something, even if it was just something mundane and tacky, he’d get the sudden urge to go out and buy him a present.

39. Smile - He never thought he’d find a smile sexy, but considering Elliot didn’t truly do it all that often Ryan felt his knees go weak whenever he caught a glimpse of it.

40. Innocence - There were times when Ryan would say or do something and Elliot would be blindsided by just how innocent the technician was, and he would suddenly have the urge to scrub himself clean before ever touching the man again for fear of corrupting him further.

41. Completion - As their breathing started to slow down Elliot always, without fail, reached out with one arm to pull Ryan as close as he could, breathing out a sleepy, and sated “I love you.”

42. Clouds - After Stuckey, Ryan had to be on continuous watch in the lab and more often than not it was someone from their small group, but whenever Elliot was on duty he couldn’t ignore the storm in the other man’s eyes and it made something in his chest burn with what felt like guilt.

43. Sky - Looking up through the skyscrapers with a child on each hand was a feeling he would never get tired of, the same way he was surprised every time he looked over to see Elliot smiling back at him.

44. Heaven - How anything that felt so right could be labeled as so wrong made absolutely no sense to him, but then again, one man’s heaven is another man’s hell, and he counted himself lucky that for him and Elliot it was the former.

45. Hell - Elliot’s faith had been one of the biggest hurdles for him in his new relationship, his mother’s imaginary voice in his head cursing him to damnation while Ryan’s mouth felt like redemption.

47. Moon - Looking at them Olivia had to admit that they were a handsome couple, but it was something she didn’t think she’d ever really understand when she thought about their warring personalities. They were just so different, and no matter how many times they’d tried to explain the attraction to her she just smile and shook her head, happy that they’d found each other.

48. Waves - It had been the kids’ idea but Ryan had to agree, when the water knocked him off his feet and into Elliot’s arms, that the wavepool had been a great idea.

49. Hair - Elliot loved the fact that he could get a good grip on Ryan’s hair to get his attention, to pull him closer, or just to show the man who was in charge, and the small sound he made in the back of his throat when Elliot tugged never failed to so send shivers down his spine.

50. Supernova - The feel of Elliot’s fingers skimming over his body had sparks exploding behind eyes, colors dancing in the dark as his lover left trails of fire in his wake.
