WOW IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE HAD AN OVERWHELMING EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT IN FRINGE
I WANT TO STAY IN THE AMBERVERSE FOREVER it's like the best bits of blueverse taken and expounded upon to give me something really, really amazing. OLIVIA IS MY FOREVER GIRL: open but guarded and weirdly reminiscent of an early S1 Olivia at times, tbh I have ~thoughts~ on all the Olivias and the subtlety in their differences and similarities but I'm too lazy to articulate them rn. Her relationships with everyone, though! Astrid... doing things....... maybe....................... hopefully? :D? (lol god, this is a perennial Fringe complaint for a reason-I don't understand why the show can't get its act together when it comes to her)
I know that, officially, this is an alternate timeline as opposed to an alternate universe but I've always assumed different timelines themselves can sprout universes (because.... you know, alternate universes and their conceptions are things I think about a lot regularly, FAVORITE TROPES basically)-or in this case lol, multiverses since we have to account for the ways the red and blue universes interacted re: Peter. I WISH AMBERVERSE WAS ITS OWN SELF-CONTAINED UNIVERSE, I don't think the show will bother incorporating separate timelines when Peter inevitably finds a way back, or if it's even feasible, really. I don't want Peter to go back!!! Or I do, I just don't want the show to leave with him. Peter/Olivia is so weird to me, now; where other people found their development underwhelming in the first two seasons I thought it was just... quiet, I guess? tbh I still think their early relationship holds up writing-wise but then it crumbled under the weight of its own over the top trajectory and consumed the show and the writers stopped caring about Olivia's POV and :(
I don't want to see him shoved back into a show that grows so wonderfully over and around his absence. And also, idk, so far the narrative has framed Peter's journey as him having to find a way back to "his" world but like, what if ultimately Peter does reassert himself into this timeline and the amberverse ceases to exist forever, and oh god THAT WOULD BE EVEN WORSE.
PETER RUINS EVERYTHING have I mentioned that yet
Except for Lincoln/Olivia, not even the shroud of Peter Bishop can touch that ugh you guyssssssss

"MAYBE YOUR TYPE DOESN'T EXIST." HAHAHAHAHA............... NO. I love their initial meeting where Lincoln is all hostility and indignation and Olivia is just ".........lol you know nothing jon snow" because she is perf. They are so natural and understated, it's really about two people awkwardly starting to maybe just a little quasi-date. IT'S GREAT and also refreshing AND WHAT IF THEY NEVER BANG or what if they do and we never see it because we lose this timeline, sobbing until the end of days.
anyway maybe I should finally marathon X-Files?
