Why is it sprnging forward and falling back?  Who asked it to at such a confucing time.  I have been miserable much of the day, not happy to still be alive, trying to figure an attitudet for this "mode" of living.  Am I passing time, living to ( Read more... )

Yeah, the loss of control. I think that will be the hardest part for me. I'm glad Cae had his birthday, but I couldn't make heads or tails out of what YOU did. End up on the deck?

SO Glad to have you around for b-day #5! anonymous November 3 2008, 14:57:00 UTC
Caetano came home to tell me many stories about his impromtu b-day bash, spongebob cake, and super exiting presents. He was so happy!

He told me all the people that were there and I was very grateful that you were listed as an attendee. I know you feel really bad right now. I pray for some relief. We love you!

This is Meg, at my Dad's request, clarifying the story of the "Grandpa Toss." For the record, readers, no one tossed Grandpa onto the deck. Dad wanted a change of scenery on Sunday, so Ben built a ramp from the back patio door onto the deck. The big event of the day was to move him from his hospital bed to the wheelchair so he could get some fresh air. He's not able to stand on his own now, so it took a village (okay, primarily my brother) to move him. Unfortunately, his body did not want to cooperate, and any touching of his skin with hard surfaces (including a wheelchair) is quite painful for him. Gail, Charla and Ben got him from the bed to the chair and onto the deck, but the experience was more pain than pleasure. It was a short-lived excursion, and it took us all to get him back into the bed. However, I assure you that there were no broken bones, cuts or blood involved. It was more of a "heave ho", than a Grandpa Toss.

Scott,

Glad to know you weren't really thrown on the deck! Not sure you could bounce as well as you used too! You are an amazing man my friend. I hope peace for you and Gail and the family. Know that I'm thinking about you and I love you all.

Just so you know, I'll be in Texas in Dec and then I'm off to Baghdad again. I'll be expecting you to watch over me! :)
