In With The New (part 2 of 2 part entry)

Mar 08, 2009 00:09

I'm sicker than yesterday, so I apologize to the 4 of you that read this, as this post may come off a bit incoherent. Anyway. Continuing from yesterday. I mentioned that I sent my Laptop out to be fixed/reimbursed and further back mentioned that I had gotten a new one. The new one is an HP (also it is an actual new laptop). I'm gonna resell my old one if they can fix it and getting the remainder of my stuff off of it (assuming it doesn't needed to be ghosted), for what I paid for, give or take a couple hundred. If they cannot fix it, then I get reimbursed my full purchase price from this warranty company. I'll post the specs on this at a later date, as I don't feel like compiling a complete list, we'll just say that I can expand the ram beyond 4 gigs, and I plan to do so at some point in time. Next.

My truck is gonna be parked in the yard till further notice. It still runs, barely, but runs nonetheless. That being said, here is the good news.
is why it will remain in the yard for now. Before going on, I know there's a cable hanging under it. It is for the emergency break. I never used it much in my old one anyway, seeing as how I managed to rip the pull lever out when releasing it. At some point I'll get it fixed, but it's not an issue that prevents said truck from working propperly. I also know there is a minor rust spot. Once the weather permits, I'll clean it up and fix it. With that out of the way, It's not officially mine so to say. Yes it is mine, but at the moment it's still under my Uncle's name (reg & insurance) untill he remembers to bring me the title. Gonna end up stoping down to his old house probably since he's working on it till April, and it's litterally down the street from me, and ask him about it.

Like I said, I have some minor things to fix. Cosmetically the rust spots on both back doors (both are the same size so it's not a lot of work, just need it to be nicer out/not rain when I go to do it), and I need to replace a rain guard on the passenger side. Mechanically are only two things that don't impose an issue. Emegency break which can be done at any given time, and the back wiper. Probably gonna end up getting a new radio put in. It doesn't have a stock radio, but no CD player technically. There's a 12 disk changer in it, but it's not connected to the power, and for the life of me I can't find the cable anywhere that supplies it with a pemanant connection to the battery.

So that's really all for now that I feel like getting into in this state of health.
