BFA which is a BFD
Yesterday, January 18th, 2008 was a day I shall forever remember. The day I bullied my way into a Russian government office, intimidated a security guard and got a Russian civil servant to do their damn job.
They took my papers.
They gave me a paper back.
6 months from now, I'll be a legal resident of Russia.
This means I'll have to pay taxes (13% flat on all income) and get exit visas to leave the country.
Why I'm happy about giving up my freedom of movement I don't know. Maybe because now I can move onto the next thing on my to-do list;
