You have to wonder how much of this Wii shortage is based on actual demand as opposed to demand created by people trying to make a profit?

Every Sunday the Toys 'R' Us by my house gets in 15 to 25 Wiis and every Sunday there is a line around the corner and they sellout. I just checked eBay and there have been 32 auctions put up within the last 24 hours for a Wii withing 25 miles of my zip.

How many parents are standing in that line behind the eBayers trying to get one for their kids for the holidays?
