Given that I did my weekly ancestor faining last night, I find the result somewhat amusing.
Payday for both Matt and I was today (YAY!), however rent and two big bills needed to be paid (...suck) so the joy of rolling in dough was mitigated by having to write checks (SIGH). Being a responsible adult has its' downsides.
Got started on doing my studies of leechcraft (not those kinds of leeches - Germanic healing arts) by reviewing some of my old notes on the concepts of maegen, holiness/wholeness, soul-lore etc. before delving deeply into Pollington's Leechcraft. My herbal books are also at the ready. I've been needing to do this for awhile - about four years ago, I could have rattled off any number of herbal remedies, but I've been getting slack, so I need to get back on the ball.
The Charlotte-Metro area Pagan Pride Day is tomorrow. Matt and I will not be going - he has to work, I've got too much to get done, and well, if you read the previous post you can guess as to why we don't want to be surrounded by the local Pagan population for hours on end. ;) I'm sure we'll hear about it anyway because a couple people we know are going.
Going to get stitching again too - I think my wrists have had enough of a break, and I am itching for a new project!
And lastly, CRF 2006 is next weekend!!! We're going both days of the opening weekend to take advantage of the 2/$20 ticket deal and because the next time we'll get to go will be November. Tish & Dan are coming down for it and we're going to have a blast - she's going to eyeball possible wedding dress candidates, and I am going to get inspiration for new garb for 2007.
As well as get a copy of The Daily Crock from Jeremiah Wiggins the Storyteller.
And maybe some more amber from the stone people. Maybe. I know, like I really need more amber...
