Siberian Relations

My dad's side of the family is German, East Prussian, and Russian, and until my great-grandfather Anuta died he did the geneaology for my father's side of the family, and published three books on the subject.

While doing some digging of my own, I found out that the settlement his parents - my great-great-grandfather Michael and great-great-grandmother Charlotte - were born in is located in Siberia.

Damn. Siberia! That blows my freakin' mind.

Today I start the Russian in earnest - Cyrillic here I come (how many of you knew that a version of Cyrillic is used by the Mongolians?)!
