Why I hate Twilight and everything / everyone accociated with it
Shit, at least Rowling was a Mythology Major and her books are not only true to the "format" of the Hero's Story, but also jammed with little bits and bites of folklore and mythology. They are veritable onions in that the more look at them the more there is to find and what more, she's actually used the bits of folklore and mythology in the way it was intended and did not strip/change/alter them to suit her needs.
Sure, the first four books in the Harry Potter series were painful to read, but unlike Meyers JKR's writing actually improved with time, and she managed to address actual real world sociological issues in an way to show kids that they can make a difference in the world as long as they keep their heads and follow their hearts and do what they know is right. There are such things as unjust laws and sometimes the people in power are morons but that's ok, because what you have to say matters. There is no black and white in the world, no such thing as absolute evil and no one is beyond redemption unless they themselves choose not to be.
Then Meyers came along with her message of the only way you matter in the world is to absolutely abandon yourself as a being, give up your voice and will for a stalker glittery abusive pedophile but that's ok because it's in the name of love and women are nothing and do not matter..... poorly written dribble that completely ass-rapes the English language and is an abortion unto the Woman's Rights movement, distorts the lore to some twisted glamour-mask of itself
I better stop typing before I go and say something I'll be banned for.
At least until the Vodka wears off...that is.
In my own way I see twi-crap as a modern day Iroquois Theater fire in the making. There are people out there screaming that the building is on fire but to not panic and remain calm but the masses are unwilling to listen due to their own delusions and herd mentality...
