Everyone please pray for my friend Mike's brother. On Wednesday, he was cleaning a tank for a hazardous chemical and it exploded. He has received 3rd degree burns from the waist up and inhaled some of the fumes. The chemical is volatilible in any form except when it is in water. Unfortunately the tank he was cleaning had rust in it. The 'experts' (not sure exactly whom) said that the chemical must have deposited in the area behind the rust. Thus when the tank dried from the first 2 cleanings (had to be cleaned 3 times) the chemical combined with the air and exploded while he was in the tank. He had a mask on that contained a carbon filter to prevent inhalation but he either took it off in fear of it melting to his face or it was blown off from the blast.
His family is in the ICU and have been given the option of 'pulling the plug' if his condition does not improve. The doctors first said @ 3pm, then 5pm, and now midnight.
I would be appricated if you would do this. Thanks for reading.
