Has anyone had any experience working on commission? I just had an interview, and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be at all. Hi Allison, glad to hear you're getting interviews. Been there, did that, not too long ago. Here's what I think. When I knew you back in the day (granted, I haven't seen you in some time), I gotta say - insurance agent is the last thing I'd have imagined you interviewing for, much less working as. You strike me more as a free spirit. (But hey, who's to say that insurance doesn't appeal to free spirits? I'm not replying here to say you should conform to some idea I had of you back in the day.)

Now I dont know your personal financial situation or anything, I know times have been tough for a lot of people, but if you don't like the idea EVEN NOW of an unreliable paycheck, and if you're doubting the idea of it after ONE interview with the company (and it sounds like they misrepresented the job, honestly, if it wasnt what you thought it was going to be), that sounds like a lot of warning flags. It's probably not going to improve from there. I would keep searching for a better, more reliable-income job, that at least doesn't make you seriously question whether you should be taking it or not.
