Has anyone had any experience working on commission? I just had an interview, and it wasn't what I thought it was going to be at all. It's an independent agent position for selling insurance, and income is based solely on commission. It'd would be 13 weeks of training (that you get semi-paid for) and I'd also have to spot 140 bucks to get licensed

Now I dont know your personal financial situation or anything, I know times have been tough for a lot of people, but if you don't like the idea EVEN NOW of an unreliable paycheck, and if you're doubting the idea of it after ONE interview with the company (and it sounds like they misrepresented the job, honestly, if it wasnt what you thought it was going to be), that sounds like a lot of warning flags. It's probably not going to improve from there. I would keep searching for a better, more reliable-income job, that at least doesn't make you seriously question whether you should be taking it or not.
