Partial eclipse of the sun

There's a 91% eclipse this morning and I'm hoping we'll get some clear sky to see it. Just in case we are both armed with our viewing specs from the Stardome Observatory. Pity there aren't many trees around the big global drink company where I'm contracting as you get the most amazing crescent-shaped dappling through them but I'll take my camera ( Read more... )

I've got the glasses, but we've got CLOUD. :(

We had intermittent cloud, but that was cool too as I could see the crescent through it directly. :-)

I saw it but I didn't notice the day seemed any dimmer. Still, very cool!

I've seen that! Totally didn't expect to see anything, and then the light coming in through my windows started to look funny and I saw all these crescents cast across the walls, and realized the gaps between the leaves were acting as hundreds of pinhole cameras. Really amazing.
