Oh, crap

Bad: Despite all the security company stickers, our house got broken into today, through a downstairs window. They also got out that way because they guessed that only the doors were alarmed.

Good: They didn't get much before the motion sensors detected them and the alarm went off.

Bad: They got the TV, the digital camera, and an Xbox game.

Well, please don't let Claudia and yourself spook each other with sudden movements in the next few days :) And *hugs*

:-) Claudia got extra big hugs yesterday. She's over it now. Tessa and Vic didn't seem bothered at all. Once the alarm was turned off, they probably sauntered back in; Tessa was in her bed as if nothing had happened.

Oh Nico, I'm sorry. I know how disturbing it is, to feel that there was someone in there. It's that, much more than the administrative hassle, or the physical Stuff, that really sets you back for a while. Much sympathy and a hug.

It does at least sound as though you have a good security company, and I hope that the new alarm sensors will make things feel a little better, and any other measures that they recommend.

It's so true. I still sort of consider how to unpack my stuff in a new place so that it won't be easy to steal. Although, fortunately, that sense of insecurity does fade.

I hope so. I'm not sure how to make things harder to steal though. I suppose keeping the venetians closed in that room is about the only option, so people can't see the stuff.

It wasn't as bad as last time; they only went into the room where the TV and other entertainment stuff was. I thought the security stickers would deter them but I noticed in last week's local rage that burglars seem to be hitting this suburb right now.

I'm not surprised you feel insecure :0( How awful. They must have worked quickly

They can't have set off the sensors straight away, but I'm just glad they didn't get more.
