Thank you so much for the snowflake! You ARE my favourite thief. (The thief I knew a few years back is no longer a thief but a king now and even if he still was a thief, you'd still be my favourite.)
Yes, you are. If you like you can be my honorary little brother too. You'd have been fun to have as a little brother. I promise not to teach you to tie your shoelaces together like I did with my sister.
He stole the queen's heart. But she stole his first so maybe like two minuses it cancels out.
I'd like to be a little brother! And I already know how to tie my shoelaces.
I remember when I was first learning, I had the brilliant idea of going to bed with my shoes on. I mean, why go to all the trouble of undoing them and doing them up all over again in the morning? I went to bed feeling very clever and wondering why no one had thought of that. In the morning, got up in my pyjamas, with my shoes on, and Mum was so impressed. "Oh, my clever Vila! You tied them all by yourself!" But I'm too honest--I know that seems odd in a thief, but I don't like lying--so I said I'd gone to bed in my shoes, and she was horrified. I didn't do it again. Though sometimes I've worn my socks to bed--and for that matter a few clothes--in case I have to get up in a hurry.
Ah. So the country was just part of the package. I think a few people have made a play for Servalan, but I suspect she eats her mates, like that spider.
Awww! That's a nice story. Yay for not lying to your mum. (And thieves don't have to lie unless they get caught and good thieves don't get caught often.)
Probably.
Are you setting up the lights for your festival of light this year?
Yes! Tonight is the fifth night so there are six candles: the one in the middle which lights the other five. It looks so pretty, all those little flames lined up. Because it's about when the oil in the temple didn't go out, we eat a lot of fried food. Mmmmm, latkes and fish and blintzes...

*GLOMPS*
Much love,
Em ;-)

A king, eh? Must've stolen a whole country, then. That's a lot bigger than a spaceship. I'd take my hat off to him if I had one!
