These are from a shoot I did Sunday in a 19th century mansion on the upper west side. If it was possible to steal a house, I would have. Holy crap. And it wasn't, like, a styled crib: the people who lived there actually lived in there and used all of their amazing antiques. I styled this shoot as well, which I'm pretty proud of, and the photographer's technique is pretty cool: he sets up antique mirrors, and then takes a picture of the shot as reflected in the mirror, which gives the shots a really interesting texture. I also had a pretty high fever on Sunday, but I think it works, because my motivation for the shoot was: "ghostly and european...so think sensual ghost: vintage hollywood meets vermeer with some 30's era memory of woman in some invaded country in europe that haunts a man to his death..."
