Summary: Prince Aiba is the future king of Rainbow Kingdom who has to choose his future partner between marquis Sakurai and earl Matsumoto. The choice seems easy for Aiba who already loves one of them but what if a spell brings him far away from him? Can he believe in him or will he fall in the stained arms of the other?
Two month already passed since the accident. Ohno was lying on their comfortable bed with Nino's arms possessively wrapped around his chest. The latter was soundly asleep and Satoshi knew better than anyone how his lover could sleep peacefully only when he was around. Afterall they were sharing the same path for a hundred years and he was grateful to Ninomiya for sticking with him for such a long time. He always thought that thanks to his behaviour, he would have lived his whole life alone since anyone sooner or later would be tired of him. But not Nino. Ohno still clearly remembered how that brat showed himself all of a sudden and never left.
~flashback~
He just came back from a short journey to the mountain. It was the perfect season for a good walk and he was glad he was able to find some good herbs for his potions. He rushed home to prepare them but when he entered in his little house, he immediately smelled something fishy. Soup was boiling in his favorite pot, the table was a total mess of chopped vegetables and noise of water was coming from the bathroom. He cautiously left his basket full of herbs on the floor and walked silently to the bathroom. The door was slightly open so he peeked inside and found a cute boy having a comfortable bath in his tub. Although he could feel that the boy was a magician, he was sure he hadn't any bad intentions. He was playing with the water in a childish way and Ohno stared at that scene like a dreamy vision until the stranger immersed his face in the water upon taking a deep brath and murmuring: "When will he come back?"
"Are you waiting for me?" Ohno asked and opened the door, surprising the poor boy who tried to cover himslef as better as he could.
"A-are you Ohno Satoshi-sama?" The boy stumbled on his words with evident embarrassment.
"Yes but if you want something from me, I suggest to wear some clothes first."The white magician replied with a smirk and left the room.
He wasn't even able to put all of the herbs at their place that the intruder was already in front of him dressed and with his head bowed.
"What?" Ohno asked annoyed.
"I want to learn magic from you."
"I don't teach. It's troublesome." Satoshi stated serious, giving more attention to his herbs. But the latter insisted.
"Onegai! You're the best magician of Rainbowland!"
"I don't even know your name, why should I teach you?"
"AH! Ninomiya Kazunari desu! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu."
Ohno totally ignored the poor boy who kept on nugging the white magician for a whole week. The dinners, housechores and sweet words that Ninomiya used seemed not to help at all but suddenly on a cloudy morning, Satoshi woke up his unwanted guest and ordered to follow him.
"Where are we going?" Kazunari asked curious with a beaming smile, happy that finally Ohno talked to him.
"You need to know how to control your powers first."
Nino immediately understood what the older man meant: he was goinf to teach him and he couldn't be happier. He litterallyu jumped on his new teacher, thanking him with a peck on the cheek. That was the time when Satoshi's heart skipped his first beat for Ninomiya.
From there things went by really fast. Ohno was a good teacher and Ninomiya was a fast learner. In a couple of years he mastered pretty much all the curses and other things like potions, rituals and such. Ohno immediately noticed that his student had a particular liking for black magic therefore he spent more time to teach him all its mysteries and danger as well as the good and helpful side of it.
Satoshi was very proud of that little boy and he had to admit that his presence was confortable. In other words Nino made him happy. They completed each other, the exact half of a whole apple. So it was obvious that eventually they fell for each other but neither of them confessed.
One day Ninomiya came home from the market with big news.
"Sensei!" He shouted. "I'm going to work for the King!"
Hearing the news, Ohno's face darkened but he didn't say anything.
"What? Aren't you happy?"
"Do you know how things work in the palace?" Ohno asked looking indifferent but Nino could hear a note of anger in his voice.
"I bet it won't be so bad. I'll have a comfortable bed, warm food and they will pay me."
"You'll be in a cage!" The white magician shouted angry.
Nino never saw his master like that so he was a bit shaken while Satoshi continued.
"They will ask you all sort of curses, potions and all the shit I thought you. And you'll be forced to work everyday in your room. Will you really be happy?"
Ninomiya was angry too now. Why Ohno couldn't accept his choice? Why was he so against the offer?
"Isn't it about what I learnt?" He asked bitterly.
"What do you mean?"
"You don't want to let them know about your knowledge, am I right?"
"It's not like that, Kazu."
"I wonder how you know it." Nino said with a probing tone but Ohno didn't reply. He just lowered his gaze and went out. He didn't want to let Ninomiya know about his painful past. It was hurtful to remember all the things they asked him to do. Tortures, deadly potions, cures even for the dead. And when he wasn't able to help, he was left alone in his dark laboratory until they needed him again. He didn't want to show his bad side to Nino and he didn't even want for the younger boy to suffer in the same way. But it was too painful to speak about it. Afterall it was something he buried long time ago with that corpse. He was so lost in his thoughts that didn't notice it was already dark. When he finally felt his stomach grumble, he decided to come back home just to find it empty. Nino was nowhere to be seen and so all his belongings.
Ohno was left alone again.

A/N: Hey dear readers!! I'm two weeks late!! :( Sorry but I had to deal with RL and some changes that I made at this fanfic ;p
I'm cruel, ne~? For now I left aside Sakuraiba and gave some space to Ohmiya xD
And yes, it's strange they have bathrooms but take it as it is in my mind. A fantasy world with all of our comforts xD
